J&J shines at Mid-America Trucking Show

The J&J booth was a popular place at the Mid-America Trucking Show in Louisville March 24-26, with a steady stream of visitors checking out the new Ultra Light Steel body and the popular EVO Aluminum Material Hauler drawing oohs, aahs, and inquiries.

The Ultra Light Steel body was a huge hit.

Ultra Light Steel

The prototype Ultra Light body, which is made from formed steel and is about 800 pounds lighter than our previous Ultra Light design, was especially popular. It will be a familiar sight at trade shows across North America, as J&J built it for Peterbilt’s Marketing Department, which plans to use it as a demonstration truck.

It certainly was a hit in Louisville, as customers flocked to see the 16 ½-foot body, which features 3/16-inch Body Armor sides and a ¼-inch Body Armor floor, and a high-lift tailgate. Many MATS attendees were already asking how to purchase the gray 567 Peterbilt from the Texas-based company.

Truck lovers also took a shine to the black 389 Peterbilt with an EVO smooth side aluminum bed in the J&J booth. The 17-foot, 8-inch bed features a ¼-inch aluminum plate floor in the front and 3/8-inch aluminum plate floor in the rear, and a tailgate with a coal door.

Foot traffic at the trade show was the best we’ve seen since 2019, with thousands of attendees checking out exhibitors and vendors from across our industry.

We welcomed old friends and new into our booth, ranging in age from 2 to 82, and they came from all over North America. We spoke with drivers, owner-operators, fleet managers, and folks who just love a great dump body.

Visitors to our booth came pushing strollers, riding scooters, and accompanied by four-legged fur babies. Social media influencer Lacey Blair even stopped by for a snapshot in the booth! The one thing they all shared was a love for the trucking industry!
