Riggs Industries, Inc., one of the largest family-owned businesses in Somerset County, Pennsylvania, today announced the opening of their newly renovated and expanded corporate offices in Boswell, PA. The building also houses two of Riggs' divisions, Somerset Steel Erection and Lincoln Contracting & Equipment.

The need for extra space became apparent as Riggs Industries enjoyed increased growth throughout their five divisions. To address this growth and provide better service to their customers, additional staff was hired and new equipment was purchased. The 6400 square foot addition is designed and built to also allow for continued expansion in the future.

Somerset Steel Erection, the oldest division of Riggs Industries was established in 1957 with a staff of three and now employs over 80 people. The company specializes in general contracting, concrete work, and steel erection and fabrication. Most recently, the firm completed work on the Somerset County Government Building in Somerset, PA. Lincoln Contracting & Equipment was established in 1974 and currently employs approximately 125 people. The company provides design engineering, turnkey construction of coal plants, and material handling systems.

Riggs Industries also operates ErReR Hill Farms and Somerset Welding & Steel. Purchased in 1972, Somerset Welding & Steel operates J&J Truck Bodies & Trailers, J&J Truck Equipment, and Lincoln Supply & Equipment.
